CSR & medical devices: building a sustainable future for the healthcare industry
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is now a key issue for the medical device industry. Facing environmental, social, and regulatory challenges, it is essential to adopt a structured and collective approach.
At SGH Medical Pharma, we are actively engaged in this effort, notably through the involvement of our CSR Director, Virginie Delay, who was recently re-elected for a fourth term as President of the CSR group at SNITEM.
Collective initiatives for a more responsible industry
Several organizations and working groups are mobilizing to support companies in this transition.
As President of the CSR group at SNITEM, our CSR director plays a central role in defining the strategic directions for the sector. Her actions focus on three main missions:
• Representing the medical device industry to public authorities and at sector events
• Driving collective actions and supporting members on CSR topics, whether regulatory or contextual
• Supporting the organization of the group by facilitating exchanges and sharing best practices through meetings, events, and webinars
Decarbonization: a priority challenge
One of the key challenges in the medical device sector is reducing the carbon footprint. On January 16, our CSR director contributed to the interim report from The Shift Project entitled “DECARBONIZING THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRIES,” which focuses on medical devices and MD-DIV.

Towards a sustainable future: the role of companies and stakeholders
