Inauguration of the new offices in Lyon

Saint-Marcellin, October 13, 2023 – SGH Medical Pharma, an international group specialized in the design and manufacturing of medical devices and plastic consumables for pharmaceutical, life sciences, and diagnostic stakeholders, is investing in new offices in Lyon to support its growth.

An expansion reflecting the group’s dynamism

Driven by its ambition to become one of the leading European plastic manufacturing companies in its field, SGH Medical Pharma Group has chosen to establish itself in the heart of the city of Lyon. “Several reasons guide this choice. The Lyon region is at the heart of an active and recognized healthcare ecosystem of which we are already a part, but we aim to integrate even more closely. Furthermore, our development strategy requires the recruitment of new talents. We are aware that the location of our factories in Isère, Ain, and Allier can be a hindrance for our future recruits. For our cross-functional services, Lyon is an excellent compromise given its central location in relation to our production sites. Additionally, considering our international strategy, the proximity of railway, air, and road transport networks provides a real advantage for our teams and for the convenience of our clients,” states Jérôme Empereur, President.

Around fifteen new hires by 2025

SGH Medical Pharma now has 300 m² of offices on the 23rd floor of the Tour Oxygène, featuring collaborative and well-lit workspaces alongside quiet areas. The group, which holds one of its core values as “taking care of our stakeholders,” offers facilities where the well-being of its teams is paramount, and where partners will enjoy gathering in spacious meeting rooms.

“Approximately fifteen people are already based in Lyon, and we plan to hire around fifteen more by 2025. Our goal of obtaining the ‘pharmaceutical establishment’ certification for our Saint-Marcellin factory in the first quarter of 2024 will change the scale of our group. Therefore, we need to plan ahead to expand our sales and marketing team,” adds Jérôme Empereur, President.
